The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against Assistant Commissioner, Superintendent & Inspector of Central Excise, Indore and other private person U/s 120-B r/w 420 IPC and Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of P.C.Act, 1988. It was alleged that the accused public servants entered into a criminal conspiracy with Indore-based Processing Firm through its representative during the period June, 2008 to January, 2009. The public servants abused their official positions and cheated the Govt. Exchequer by way of preparing anti-dated Panchnama showing the sealing of Gutka Manufacturing Machines on 01.7.2008, thereby causing wrongful gain to themselves and Indore-based Food Processing Firm to the tune of Rs.5,37,50,000/-

Searches were conducted at office and residential premises of accused public servants and private company at Indore, Ratlam and Mumbai. Incriminating documents seized during the search are under scrutiny.
