Public Notice No. 16 (RE-2006)/2004-09, dated June 1, 2006, amends Public Notice No. 7 (RE-2006)/2004-09 issued on May 9, 2006. The amendment modifies Paragraph 2, Sl. No. (iv) to specify that imports will only be permitted through designated ports in India, which include Nhava Sheva, Kandla, Kolkata, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, and Mundra. This change is made in exercise of the powers under Paragraphs 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, and 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1). The update aims to streamline and regulate the entry points for imports into the country.

PUBLIC NOTICE No. 16 (RE-2006)/2004-09

NEW DELHI : 1st June, 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Public Notice No. 7(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 9.5.2006.

(1) Sl. No. (iv) of Para 2 will be amended to read as follows:

“(iv) The import will be allowed into India only through the following ports, namely, Nhava Sheva, Kandla, Kolkatta, Chennai, Vishakhapatanam andMundra.”

This issues in public interest.
