Public Notice No. 12 (RE-2006)/2004-2009, issued on May 25, 2006, by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, amends Appendix 14-I-C of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I). The amendment introduces a restriction that units utilizing plastic waste or scrap will not be allowed to enhance their production capacity. This change aligns with the provisions under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. The policy aims to regulate the use of plastic waste in production processes, effective immediately from the date of issuance.

PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 12 (RE-2006) /2004-2009

NEW DELHI, DATED THE 25th May, 2006

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures Vol. I :

Sub-para 5(ii) of Appendix –14-I-C shall be amended as under:-

“(ii) No enhancement of the production capacity be allowed to units which are utilizing plastic waste/scrap”.
