NOTIFICATION NO. 86 (RE-2007)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI, DATED 19th March, 2008

S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy – 2004-09, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under:

1. “Import of items under Exim Codes 25151100, 25151210, 25151220, 25151290, 68021000, 68022110, 68022120, 68022190, 68022200, 68029100, 68029200 from Sri Lanka under the India-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (ISFTA) is allowed only through the Port of Kolkata.

2. In addition to the condition mentioned at 1 above, import of these items shall also be subject to all the conditions applicable on imports under ISFTA.”

3. This issues in public interest.
