Notification No. 55 (RE-2005), issued on March 27, 2006, by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, temporarily relaxes export conditions under the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004–2009. The notification permits the export of 885.14 metric tons of A, B, C, and D grades of Red Sanders Wood in log form. These logs were obtained through government auctions conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The relaxation is effective for two months starting March 7, 2006. This amendment aims to facilitate the controlled export of Red Sanders within the specified period.

NEW DELHI DATED THE 27TH MARCH, 2006
S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act,1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009” as under:
The condition stipulated in Column 5 against S. No.143 of Chapter 44 of Schedule 2 of the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1st September, 2004 –31st March, 2009” shall be relaxed for a period of two months with effect from 7th March, 2006 to allow export of 885.14 MT of A, B, C and D grades of Red Sanders Wood, in the form of log obtained from the Government of Andhra Pradesh through auction.
