On May 3, 2006, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued Notification No. 03 (RE-2006)/2004-2009, amending the Export Policy in Schedule 2 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for the financial year 2006-2007. The amendment sets annual export limits for stone aggregate at 270,000 metric tons and for river sand at 300,000 metric tons. This update was made under the powers of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and is applicable for the mentioned financial year. The notification was issued in public interest, outlining specific export quotas for these materials.

S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy – 2004-09, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – 2 (Export Policy) of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under:
In Chapter 25 of Schedule 2, the following shall be added after export licensing Note (b) :-
( c ) For the financial year 2006-2007
(on annual basis)
Stone Aggregate : 2,70,000 MTs
River Sand : 3,00,000 MTs
