Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), releases Trade Notice No. 19/2023-DGFT on 28th July 2023. The notice extends the last date for submission of applications to obtain export licenses for broken rice to Senegal, Gambia, and Indonesia, in compliance with a Delhi High Court order.
In compliance with the Order dated 26.07.2023 of the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Trade Notice No. 19/2023-DGFT partially amends the previous notices to extend the deadline for submission of applications for broken rice export licenses. The extended deadline is now 11th August 2023. The extension applies to Senegal, Gambia, and Indonesia.
Exporters seeking to obtain export licenses for broken rice to Senegal, Gambia, and Indonesia can now submit their applications until 11th August 2023. The extension is in accordance with the Delhi High Court’s order, aiming to facilitate the export process on humanitarian and food security grounds.

Subject: Procedure for allocation of quota for export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds, based on requests received from Governments of other Countries.
In compliance with the Order dated 26.07.2023 of Hon’ble high Court of Delhi at New Delhi in W.P.(C) 8625/2023 & CM APPI,s. 32737/2023, Trade Notice No.16/2023 dated 20th July, 2023 read with Trade Notice No.13 dated 03.07.2023 read with Trade Notice No. 12/2023 dated 30.06.2023 read with Trade Notice No. 08/2023 dated 20th June 2023 is partially amended to extend the last date for submission of application, for obtaining licence for export of broken rice to Senegal, Gambia and Indonesia, upto 11th August, 2023.
