The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through Public Notice No. 14/2026-27 dated 1 June 2026, has notified six new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) under the Chemical and Allied Product Group ‘A’ in exercise of powers under Paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023. The newly introduced SIONs, numbered A-3702 to A-3707, cover export products including Artemether PH.I/USP, Artesunate PH.I, Dihydro Artemisinin, and Doxycycline Hyclate Delayed Release Tablets of 100 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg strengths. The notification specifies the permissible quantities of import inputs, such as Artemisinin, Trimethyl Ortho Acetate, and Doxycycline Hyclate USP, required for manufacturing the export products. The primary objective of introducing these norms is to enable Regional Authorities to issue Advance Authorisations directly without referring individual cases to the Norms Committee, thereby reducing processing time, ensuring uniformity in decision-making, and facilitating smoother export operations.

Subject: Fixation of Six New Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) at SION No. A-3702, A-3703, A-3704, A-3705, A-3706 & A-3707 under “Chemical and Allied Product” (Product Code-`A’).
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the six new SIONs with Serial Numbers A-3702, A-3703, A-3704, A-3705, A-3706 & A-3707. These new entries shall be as under:-

Effect of the Public Notice: Six new SIONs for export products under Chemical & Allied Product Group ‘A’ are being notified to enable Regional Authorities (RAs) to issue Advance Authorisations directly, eliminating the need for case-by-case referrals to the Norms Committee. This will expedite approval and ensure greater uniformity in decision making.
