Seeks to exempt Additional Duty of Customs (Road Cess) levied under section 116 of the Finance Act, 1999

New Delhi, the 2nd February, 2018

G.S.R. 123(E).– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with section 116 of the Finance Act, 1999 (27 of 1999), the Central Government on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the additional duty of customs on the goods specified in the Second Schedule to the said Finance Act.
