Notification No.03/2016-Customs- Seeks to rescinding Notification No. 09/95-Customs dated 06.03.1995 – Exemption to specified goods when imported into India from the Union of Myanmar

New Delhi,dated- 11th of January, 2016

S.O 84 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), number 9/95-Customs, dated the 6th of March, 1995 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R.110 (E), dated the 6th of March 1995, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.

    This will kill indo myanmar border trade.
    There will be no trade on the border now that is
    100% sure. Due to bad law and order situation and
    bad infrastructure this border needs 100% duty concession.
    RIP border trade.

    IT WOULD BE VERY KIND OF YOU, IF YOU CAN GIVE A GIST WHAT THE CIRCULAR STATED EARLIER INSTEAD OF OUR HAVING TO REFER TO SAID CIRCULAR AGAIN. THIS WOULDSAVE TIME AND ENERGY.
