Regarding increase in export duty leviable on iron ores and concentrates

Notification No. 78/2008-Customs

New Delhi, the 13th June, 2008

G.S.R. (E).-Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the export duty leviable on iron ores and concentrates, all sorts, falling under Heading No. 11 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) should be increased and that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 8 of the said Customs Tariff Act, the Central Government hereby directs that the Second Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act shall be further amended in the following manner, namely:-

In the Second Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act, against Heading No. 11, for the entry in column (3), the entry “20%” shall be substituted.
