Seeks to amend notification No. 51/2021-Customs (ADD), dated the 16th September, 2021 to extend the levy of anti dumping duty on ‘Aluminium Foil’ originating in or exported from China PR, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, up to and inclusive of 15th December, 2026

Central Government has issued Notification No. 10/2026-Customs (ADD) dated 10 June 2026 amending Notification No. 51/2021-Customs (ADD) relating to anti-dumping duty on aluminium foil originating in or exported from China PR, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Through the amendment, a new paragraph has been inserted providing that, notwithstanding the existing provisions, the anti-dumping duty imposed under the notification shall remain in force up to and inclusive of 15 December 2026, unless it is revoked, superseded, or amended earlier. The amendment has been issued under Section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 read with Rules 18 and 23 of the Anti-Dumping Rules, 1995.

G.S.R. 459(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (5) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) read with rules 18 and 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) notification No. 51/2021-Customs (ADD), dated the 16th September, 2021, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 637(E), dated the 16th September, 2021, namely:-

In the said notification, after paragraph 2 and before Explanation, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely:-

“3. Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph 2, the anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall remain in force up to and inclusive of the 15th December, 2026, unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier.”.
