Notification No. 39/2003-Customs

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 80/97-Customs, dated the 21st October, 1997 published vide number G.S.R. 610(E), dated the 21st October, 1997, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S.No. 2, for the entry in column (2), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“Gold in any form including liquid gold and tola bars, other than at S.No. 1 above”.

Footnote:- The principal notification No. 80/97-Customs, dated the 21st October, 1997 was published in the Gazette of India vide G.S.R. 610(E) dated the 21st October, 1997 and was last amended vide notification No. 28/2003-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2003 vide number G.S.R. 163(E) dated the 1st March, 2003.
