The matter has been considered in consultation with Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and keeping in view the molecular structure of the above mentioned drug it has been decided that the Mefloquine Hcl is classifiable under ITS HS Code No.29333990 and is freely importable as per the policy indicated against the entry.
The principal notification No. 80/97-Customs, dated the 21st October, 1997 was published in the Gazette of India vide G.S.R. 610(E) dated the 21st October, 1997 and was last amended vide notification No. 28/2003-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2003 vide number G.S.R. 163(E) dated the 1st March, 2003.
Attested photocopies of the Drawback Shipping Bills/Export Promotion Copies, Bills of Lading. In case, more than one item has been exported under a Shipping Bill, f.o.b. value must be shown separately for each export item.
