Sir upto 5 days prior means we can book tickets even 10 days prior or 60 days or 120 days.

Thank you sir Yashesh Ashok Jakhelia ji. I did not think in the manner you suggested. Any way I am happy one side of my brain is activated and I heartily and really thank you for this.

Even the up to 5 days in advance could not be implemented because the e-ticket for door delivery will take a minimum of 2 days.

  3. Varaprasad Daitha says:

The scheme does not work because it provides for booking 5 days in advance of the date of journey. As per the present practice the reservation in general quota are filled faster before the 5 days stipulated period. The commuters cannot book under TATKAL because it opens just 1 day before the date of journey. Then how can a traveler book a ticket under COD scheme?
