No. PHD-1024/C.R.33/JAPUK (XXIX).- In exercise of the powers of Central Government under section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881) entrusted to it by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs vide its Notification No.39/1/68/JUdl-III, dated the 8th May 1968, the Government of Maharashtra hereby declares Public Holidays on account of General Election of 2024 in the concerned Parliamentary Constituencies indicated in the Schedule as below:-

2. The said public holiday will also apply and be available to the registered voters of the poll- bound areas even if they are working outside the territorial limits of such areas, notwithstanding whether or not such voters belong to Central or State Government Offices, Central/State Government undertakings or other entities.
3. Directorate General of Information and Public Relations will give wide publicity of this notification through print and electronic media.
