New Delhi, the 16th January, 2017
S.O. 194(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in the SECOND SCHEDULE, under the heading “MINISTRY OF FINANCE (VITTA MANTRALAYA)”,-
(A) under the sub-heading “A. DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS (ARTHIK KARYA VIBHAG)”,-
(i) in entry 28, the words “other than Railway Budget” shall be omitted;
(ii) after entry 47, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-
“47A. Financial policy in regard to the utilisation of the proceeds of disinvestment channelised into the National Investment Fund.”;
(B) under the sub-heading “D. DEPARTMENT OF INVESTMENT AND PUBLIC ASSET MANAGEMENT (DIPAM) (NIVESH AUR LOK PARISAMPATTI PRABANDHAN VIBHAG (DIPAM))”,-
(i) in entry 4, for item (b), the following item shall be substituted, namely:-
“(b). Advise the Government in matters of financial restructuring of the Central Public Sector Enterprises and for attracting investment in the said Enterprises through capital market.”;
(ii) entry 5 shall be omitted.
