    OFFHAND
The ab extra initiative taken ‘ by PM, ‘swayam’ by the Head of the Government now in power, needs to be commended ven at this late hour.

Nonetheless, common man, both literate and semi literate, has always been wondering, helplessly, as to why, the men in power/ their coterie, for decades, being so-believd ‘public servants’, – including those directly heading all such or like institutions, e.g. such as PSBs being no exception- have been consistently failing in their duties (of august office) to ensure that there are clear-cut in-house rules framed and in place, so as to automatically take care of / have settlement of death claims expeditiously disposed of; and do so, with minimum of meaningless formalities, such as brain-teasing ‘proofs’, sans common sense.
