In pursuance of order vide file No. PA/SS-II/H&FW/Covid-19/Part-IV/812, dated 02.05.2021 issued by Health & Family Welfare Department, GNCTD and for ensuring proper supply of Oxygen, especially Oxygen cylinders to patients in Home Isolation and for addressing SOS calls (if any) of hospitals in Delhi, a common cylinder pool is being created, with hubs at various depots of DTC in every district, to augment the capacity of the concerned District Magistrates for management of circulation of oxygen cylinders.

Initially, 20 filled cylinders are being given to each district which will be issued (exchanged) in lieu of empty cylinders after approval from the concerned DM. This capacity will increase in a phase-wise manner depending upon the procurement/donation/seizures etc., most of which will go in this cylinder pool itself.
It will be the responsibility of the District Magistrate to:
1. Collect these filled cylinders from DTC Depot, Rajghat and deposit them back once empty for refilling. (Nodal Person — Depot Manager, Sh. Balraj, 8744073023)
2. Ensure judicious use of these cylinders amongst public and hospitals/nursing homes etc.
For the time being, the District Magistrate may also utilize the flexibility quota of 10% to fill up buffer stock of cylinders and utilize the same judiciously to cater to any SOS calls received, till cylinder pool is made large enough to cater to all individuals
