MCA Updates Quality Review Board Appointments 2025

Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through notification G.S.R. 703(E) dated 22nd September 2025, has announced amendments under section 29A of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, relating to the Quality Review Board of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. The changes substitute the existing entries for serial numbers (1), (2), and (3) in the earlier notification G.S.R. 490(E), dated 13th July 2007. As per the amendment, Shri Rakesh Mohan (Retd. IA and AS) has been appointed as Chairperson, with office at New Moti Bagh, New Delhi. Shri Jyoti Prakash Gadia, based in Gurugram, Haryana, and Shri Deepna Gokularm, Principal Director (Commercial-I), O/o C and AG, New Delhi, have been appointed as Members. The notification comes into effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. This amendment continues the series of earlier modifications to the Quality Review Board appointments made since 2007 through various notifications, the latest being in May 2024.

G.S.R. 703(E).––In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29A of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (56 of 1980), read with sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Company Secretaries Procedures of Meetings of Quality Review Board, and Terms and Conditions of Service and Allowances of the Chairperson and Members of the Board Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 490(E), dated the 13^th July, 2007, namely:-

2. In the said notification, for serial numbers (1), (2) and (3) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall be substituted, namely: –
