Will the Minister of CORPORATE AFFAIRS

be pleased to state:

(a) the number of registered company as One Person Company (OPC) in India during the current year, State-wise;

(b) the number of the said companies out of them which have been registered by the NRIs;

(c) whether some of OPC have changed their identity as Public or Private company during the current year as per the flexibility given by the present Government; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): During the current year (from 01.01.2021 to 10.12.2021) total 9781 number of One Person Companies (OPCs) were registered under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 (the Act) and the state wise details of these companies are as under:

(b): No information for OPCs registered by NRIs is available separately.

(c) and (d): Total 239 number of OPCs have converted into public or private companies during the current year.
