ICAI Technical Guide on Filing Forms for LLPs and Companies#1: Form-11 (Annual Return of LLPs)
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) is in the process of upgrading the MCA 21 portal to a newer Version 3 (V3). This platform envisages online submission of documents and filings under the Limited Liability Partnership Act 2008 and the Companies Act 2013 and is also expected to significantly leverage on analytics and artificial intelligence for National benefit.
Data provided by a user would form the basis for MCA review, queries and identification of discrepancies. Hence, it is imperative that forms filed would need to be complete and accurate in all respects. Whilst the kits available on the MCA website are immensely helpful, a need was felt to provide handy guidance to members/stakeholders filing various forms in the MCA portal.
Accordingly, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (“ICAI”) through its Corporate Laws and Corporate Governance Committee (“CL&CGC”) has endeavoured to bring out a series of publications on MCA forms and this “Technical Guide on Filing Forms for LLPs and Companies # 1 Form-11 (Annual Return of LLPs)” is the first of the series
This guide on LLP Form-11 is prepared with an objective to creating user awareness and also to provide detailed guidance on the procedural aspects relating to filing of Form- 11 that we hope will enable higher levels of user accuracy.
