This form is crucial for the appointment or re-appointment of Statutory Auditors of State Co-operative Banks and Central Co-operative Banks. Here’s a detailed analysis of the announcement and the requirements set forth by the committee.

The announcement emphasizes the necessity for additional information concerning the MEF 2023-24 to facilitate the selection process for Statutory Auditors. Applicants are required to provide this additional information through a form available on the official website of the institute.

Eligibility criteria for filling the form are clearly outlined:

1. The applying firm must have submitted MEF for the year 2023-24.

2. The firm must have at least 2 partners who joined the firm on or before 1st July 2020, with at least 1 partner being an FCA as of 1st July 2023.

Registration and login credentials are to be used from the MEF 2023-24 submission. In case of forgotten passwords, applicants can retrieve them through the “Forgot Password” option.

It’s crucial to note that the additional information pertains specifically to MEF 2023-24, and only eligible applicants who have submitted MEF for that period can apply. The deadline for submission is the 7th of May, 2024.

For any queries or clarifications, applicants are directed to lodge complaints online through the MEF portal. If a complaint remains unresolved for more than 2 working days, applicants can escalate the issue via email or phone, providing the complaint number for reference.

Applicants of MEF 2023-24- Additional information Form

Professional Development Committee (PDC) seeks additional information in respect of MEF 2023-24 for preparation of panel for appointment / re-appointment of Statutory auditors of State Co-Operative Banks (StCCBs) and Central Co-operative Banks (CCBs) which is available at www.meficai.org.

Before filling the Additional Information Form, Members are advised to go through the Advisory and Guidelines dated 15.01.2024 on Appointment / Re-appointment of Statutory Auditors of State Co-operative Banks and Central Co-operative Banks.

Eligibility for filling the Additional Information Form (Both conditions to be fulfilled):

  • Partnership/LLP firms who had submitted MEF for the year 2023-24; AND
  • With at least 2 partners having ‘Date of Joining’ in the Firm on or before 1st July, 2020, out of which at least 1 Partner is FCA as on 1st July, 2023.

Registration/ Login Credentials:

Applicants can login with MEF 2023-24 credentials. If one has forgotten the password, please go to “Forgot Password” button to retrieve the password.

  • It is only the additional information sought in respect of MEF 2023 -24.
  • Those who have submitted MEF 2023-24 and are eligible as mentioned above can ONLY apply.
  • Last date for submission of the additional information is 7th MAY, 2024.
