In view of Customs readiness to accept online transmission of DES(Advance Authorization), EPCG and DEPB authorization at the following 33 ICES 1.5 new locations, all RAs of DGFT may note that for all the newly added ports, aforesaid authorizations issued w.e.f. 10.7.2010, will be communicated online to customs for necessary processing at their end.
Guar gum exports to European Union, originating in or consigned from India and intended for animal or human consumption, allowed subject to issue of Health Certificate by authorized representative of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India i.e. Shellac & Forest Products Export Promotion Council (SHEFEXIL), Kolkata accompanied by the original analytical report of testing of Penta Chlorophenol (PCP) issued by Vimta Labs, Hyderabad, certifying that the product does not contain more than 0.01 mg/Kg. of Penta Chlorophenol (PCP) on sampling done by the authorized representative of the competent authority.
Para 2.13.3 further provides that an application for revalidation (including for restricted items), may be made to Regional Authority (RA) concerned. RA would consider such application as per Government rules/notifications and where DGFT is concerned authority, original application shall be submitted to RA concerned and self-attested copy of same shall be submitted to DGFT.
He exporter submits the export documents containing the export product suffixing another pharmacopoeia, say BP, the Zonal/Regional offices sometimes do not accept such exports towards fulfillment of export obligation. It has been suggested that the pharmacopoeia standard other than mentioned in the licenses should be considered towards fulfillment of export obligation, i.e., pharmacopoeia, viz., USP/EP/BP/JP may be treated as interchangeable.
Where import of meat and meat products of any kind including fresh, chilled and frozen meat, tissue or organs of poultry, pig, sheep, goat; egg & egg powder; milk & milk products; bovine, ovine and caprine embryos, ova or semen; and pet food products of animal origin has been sought as an input under Advance Authorisation, the RA, while issuing advance authorisation, shall endorse a condition that before effecting imports of any of these inputs, Sanitary Import Permit shall be obtained from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries (DAHDF). RA shall also endorse a copy of authorisation to DAHDF, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5, read along with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, also read along with paragraph 2.1 of Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, the Central Government hereby further extends the prohibition on import of milk and milk products including chocolates and chocolate products and candies/ confectionary/ food preparations with milk or milk solids as an ingredient, from China, imposed vide Notification No. 67(RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 1st December, 2008 and extended vide Notification No. 22/2009-2014 dated 23rd Dec, 2009, for a period of six months from 24th June,2010 and until further orders.
