Person(s)/employee(s) authorized by a unit of (i) IT related EOU or (ii) STP or (iii) EHTP or (iv) BTP may work from a place outside the said unit, subject to the following conditions: (a) There must be an Authorisation from the unit specifying the duration of such authorization.

This would facilitate disposal of pending requests the exporters for clubbing of advance authorisations where applications have been received upto 4.6.2012. The second para would facilitate issue of duplicate authorisation in lieu of cancelled authorisation after payment of only Rs. 200/- as additional application fee as in case of other authorisations.

The revised edition of Chapter 5 pertaining to Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme of the Hand Book of Procedure (Volume I) after harmonizing the two variants of the existing scheme shall replace the existing Procedure with immediate effect.
5.1(g) Authorization under EPCG Scheme shall not be issued for import of any Capital Goods (including Captive plants and Power Generator Sets of any kind) for i. Export of electrical energy (power) ii.Supply of electrical energy (power) under deemed exports iii.Use of power (energy) in their own unit, and
