Employees’ Pension (Fifth Amendment) Scheme, 2016

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi. the 1st July. 2016

G.S.R. 657(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by section 6A read with sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act. 1952 (19 of 1952), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme further to amend the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995. namely :-

1. (1) This Scheme may he called the Employees’ Pension (Fifth Amendment) Scheme, 2016.

(2) It shall Come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. in the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, in paragraph II, in sub-paragraph (4), after the words “on salary exceeding fifteen thousand rupees per month” occurring at the end. the words “and the pensionable salary for the existing members who prefer such fresh option shall he based on the higher salary”, shall he inserted
