Public Notice No. 69 (RE-2003)/2002-07, issued on June 24, 2004, by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), announces a correction to the earlier Public Notice No. 68/2002-07. This correction pertains to the procedure for importing certain items under the India-Nepal Treaty of Trade. Specifically, Point No. 2 of Public Notice No. 68 is amended to clarify that the State Trading Corporation (STC) will be the sole agency responsible for importing vegetable fats (Vanaspati) up to the designated annual quota. All other conditions from Public Notice No. 9/2002-07, dated April 30, 2002, remain unchanged. This correction is issued to ensure accurate implementation of the import procedures under the treaty.

Subject: Procedure for import of certain items under the India-Nepal Treaty of Trade signed on 2.3.2003- amendment therein.
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-07, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II Section 3, Sub Section (ii) vide S.O. No. 349 E dated 31.03.2002, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby make the following corrections in Public Notice No. 68/2002-07 dated 23.6.2004 prescribing the procedure for import of certain items under the Indo-Nepal Treaty of Trade signed on 2.3.2002:-
Point No. 2 of Public Notice No. 68 dated 23.6.2004 shall be corrected to read as under:
“State Trading Corporation (STC) shall be the sole agency to make imports of vegetable fats (Vanaspati) upto the indicated quantity on annual quota basis. Other conditions of the Public Notice No. 9/2002-07 dated 30.04.2002 shall remain unchanged.”
