PUBLIC NOTICE NO.  34/(RE2010)/2009-14   DATED: 25th February 2011

Subject: Corrections in Public Notices No.33/(RE2010)/2009-14 dated 15.02.2011 & 2/(RE2010)/2009-14 dated 23.8.2010.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby  makes the following corrections in the  Public Notice No. 33/(RE2010)/2009-14 dated 15.02.2011 and Public Notice No. 2/(RE2010)/2009-14 dated 23.8.2010.

Reason why these corrections have become necessary:

  • In Sr. No. 1 above, inadvertent errors in numbering the Serial Nos. and VKGUY Product codes are being corrected.
  • In Sr. No. 2 above, the products were already included as Sr. No. 96 & 97 of Table 4 of Appendix 37D vide Public Notice No. 30/2009-14 dated 12.1.2010 (eligible for 2% FPS benefit on exports made from 1.1.2010 onwards); and were further granted at Bonus Benefits @ Sr.No.153 and 154 in Table 7 of Appendix 37D vide Public Notice No. 2/(RE2010)/2009-14 dated 23.8.2010 (eligible for 2% + 2% = 4% FPS benefit on exports made from 1.4.2010 onwards). Repetition of these entries were superfluous, hence these entries are being deleted.
  • The entry Sr. No. 3 above is a correction in the description of the product notified by Public Notice No. 2/(RE2010)/2009-14 dated 23.8.2010. ITC HS code 29171300 pertains to ‘Sebacic Acid’ only and hence FPS benefit would be available to it. Mentioning ‘2-Octanol’ in this entry was an inadvertent error, and hence needs to be deleted.
