Summary: The Reserve Bank of India has revised the rate applicable to the Standing Liquidity Facility provided to Primary Dealers following the Monetary Policy Committee’s decision announced in the bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement, 2026-27. The MPC has increased the policy repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) by 25 basis points, from 5.25 per cent to 5.50 per cent, with immediate effect. Consequently, the Standing Liquidity Facility available to Primary Dealers from the Reserve Bank as collateralised liquidity support will now be available at the revised repo rate of 5.50 per cent. The revised rate takes effect immediately. The notification is addressed to all Primary Dealers and records the decision under reference RBI/2026-27/281 and REF.No.MPD.BC.402/07.01.279/2026-27 dated October 7, 2026.

Standing Liquidity Facility for Primary Dealers
As announced in the bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement, 2026-27, today, it has been decided by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to increase the policy repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) by 25 basis points from 5.25 per cent to 5.50 per cent with immediate effect.
2. Accordingly, the Standing Liquidity Facility provided to Primary Dealers (PDs) (collateralised liquidity support) from the Reserve Bank would be available at the revised repo rate of 5.50 per cent with immediate effect.
