In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Directorate General of Foreign Trade hereby modifies the existing SION No.A 2337 by correcting the typing error in the description of import item “Hydrocal Cement”. Earlier, it was typed as “Hydrocol Cement” and it is now being corrected to read as “Hydrocal Cement.
The vehicles imported under this scheme shall be registered either as a tourist vehicle or shall have an appropriate registration specific to a particular state enabling the vehicle to be used for tourist purpose. A copy of the Registration certificate should be submitted to the concerned Licensing Authority as a confirmation of the vehicle having been imported and capital good installed.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) as amended, read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in Notification No. 5 (RE-2012)/2009-14 dated 02.07.2012
Para 2 (II) (a) of chapter 87 lists certain conditions that every new vehicle being imported to the country must satisfy. Of these conditions, sub para (iv) of para 2(II)(a) is amended by adding a new sentence “The country of manufacture will also mean a Single Market like the European Union (EU)” after the existing sentence.
It has been decided with the approval of Competent Authority that a variation of (-) 5% in weight against Registration Certificates issued for export of sugar shall be allowed. Thus, a variation of (-) 5% in weight in exports of sugar against registered contracts shall not be treated as default for the purpose of imposition of penalty or debarment from future registrations.
With regard to calculation of indigenous sales turnover, it is clarified that the turnover will include the net sales after deducting the sales returns from the gross sales. It is also clarified that the turnover of the applicant only shall be taken into consideration and the turnover of group concerns/ sister concerns/ subsidiaries etc. shall not be counted for calculati.
