The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a notification regarding a change in the name of a financial institution listed in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. Effective May 14, 2025, the bank previously known as “North East Small Finance Bank Limited” has been officially renamed “slice Small Finance Bank Limited.” This alteration was formalized through RBI Notification DoR.LIC.No.S1134/16.13.216/2025-26 and subsequently published in the Gazette of India (Part III-Section 4) on May 16, 2025. It is advised that the name of “North East Small Finance Bank Limited” has been changed to “slice Small Finance Bank Limited” in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 by Notification DoR.LIC.No.S1134/16.13.216/2025-26 dated May 14, 2025, which is published in the Gazette of India (Part III-Section 4) dated May 16, 2025.
