It is hereby notified for general information that the following scientific research programme has been approved for the period specified below for the purposes of sub-section (2A) of section 35 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, by the prescribed authority, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi :
Scientific Research Programme Research Project on Tree Improvement with reference to the needs of pulping industries in Tamil Nadu.

Sponsored (b) at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.
Duration of Research Programme 1976-85.
Estimated expenditure Rs. 11,21,600 (for full period) Rs. 1,90,370 (for 1976).
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, where the above programme has been sponsored has been approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, vide Ministry of Finance Notification No. 878 (F. No. 203/39/75–I.T.A. II) dated 18th April, 1975
