In one of the largest seizures of cash in an income-tax raid on an individual, the department on Tuesday recovered Rs 7.5 crore from the premises of a reputed nutritionist based in Vile Parle. Nutritionist Sarita Davare is known to have helped several high-profile Bollywood personalities , including Farah Khan, Sonu Niigaam and Hariharan, shed extra pounds in just one sitting.
Income-tax officials said Sarita Davare, who operates from a tiny clinic in Vile Parle, was known to charge Rs 20,000 for a single consultation though the accounts showed just Rs 1,000. One needs to wait for a long period before getting an appointment. She is held in very high esteem, an official said. A Bollywood personality said that she managed to shed 6 kg in one sitting, adding that she did it by personalising diets as well as acupuncture.
Davare is also known to maintain an extremely low profile.
It is learnt that the doctor till four years ago was working to manage weight and relieve aches and pains of elderly patients affected with diabetes and arthritis. Director of income-tax (investigation) E T Lukose refused to comment .

Is there a forum where you can complain . Even i have had a very bad experience with Sarita Daware. I need to know if she is qualified to do the work and she has cheated me completely . She charges 6000 rs cash for consultation of 15mts. Then they give a photocopy of diet to each and then charge 60000 for 6 weeks sitting of acupuncture of thrice a week . She is rude and very moneyminded. No wonder there was a tax raid . Even i think its time for another one in her clinic.
I met Sarita Daware. I found she and her whole team run this money making Racket. They are rude and Arrogant.i do not recommede her at all . You are not only putting your health at risk ,but also getting in the tax scrutiny .
