M/s Hira Steel, Nashik is engaged in the business of trading of steel and scraps. The officers of the Nasik Preventive (Hqrs.), an anti evasion wing of Central Goods and Services Tax, Nashik has inspected/visited the premises of M/s Hira Steel, PAP-54, Near Siemens, MIDC, Ambad, Nashik as per the provision laid down in Section 67(2) of the CGST Act, 2017.
The Preventive (Hqrs.) of Central Goods and Services Tax, Nashik has arrested Mr. Hafijullah Ajimulla Chaudhari, Proprietor of M/s Hira Steel, PAP-54, Near Siemens, MIDC, Ambad, Nashik under Section 69(1) of the CGST Act, 2017 on 04.05.2022 in connection of evasion of GST by availing fraudulent Input Tax Credit to the tune of Rs. 27.88 Crores (value of the goods Rs. 154.89 Crores) passed by various phony/bogus firms without receipts of goods with his connivance.
Further enquiry/investigation is underway.
