Cummins India Limited, a leading power solutions provider, announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026. The company reported a total sales figure of ₹3,247 crore for the quarter, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period last year. However, this was a 4% decrease from the previous quarter. The results were reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors at a meeting held on 4 November 2026.

Domestic sales for the quarter stood at ₹2,692 crore, reflecting a 5% increase year-on-year, though they were 6% lower than the previous quarter. Export sales reached ₹555 crore, showing a 2% year-on-year increase and a 6% rise from the previous quarter. Despite the sales growth, the company’s profit before tax was reported at ₹601 crore, with a margin of 18.5%. This represented a significant decline of 28.4% compared to the same quarter last year and a 16.6% decrease from the previous quarter. The profit after tax was recorded at ₹467 crore, with a net profit margin of 14.4%.

Adegbile Adewunmi, Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, attributed the healthy demand in key domestic markets to sectors such as data centres, manufacturing, realty, and the distribution business. He noted that export sales also showed growth over the previous quarter. However, he highlighted that commodity and freight inflation, along with product mix, adversely affected profit margins. Adewunmi expressed optimism that the benefits of pricing actions would become evident progressively. The company remains focused on disciplined order execution, price realisation, and cost management to maintain its reliability for customers.

Looking forward, Cummins India anticipates steady demand across domestic and export markets, although the operating environment is expected to be influenced by geopolitical uncertainties, inflationary pressures, and supply chain dynamics. Analysts note that the company’s strong balance sheet, stable cash conversion cycle, and strategic focus on operational efficiency position it well to navigate these challenges while delivering long-term value to shareholders.
