Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Ichnos Glenmark Innovation (IGI), will present updated clinical data on ISB 2001 (ABBV-2001) at the 68th American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting. The investigational drug, a first- and only-in-class CD38 × BCMA × CD3 trispecific T-cell engager, is being studied for the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM).
The data to be presented stems from the Phase 1 TRIgnite-1 study, which includes extended follow-up from the dose-escalation phase and initial results from dose-expansion cohorts. These findings suggest that ISB 2001 (ABBV-2001) demonstrates robust efficacy and tolerability in patients with heavily pretreated multiple myeloma. Dr. Lida Pacaud, President and CEO of IGI, emphasised the significance of these results, noting that they mark an important milestone in the development of this innovative therapeutic approach. The drug is being developed in partnership with AbbVie, under an exclusive global licensing agreement formed in July 2025.
The oral presentation, scheduled for December 12, 2026, will be delivered by Dr. Binod Dhakal from the Medical College of Wisconsin. It will highlight the potential of ISB 2001 (ABBV-2001) as a new treatment option for RRMM, focusing on its unique mechanism of action that coordinates dual-antigen tumour recognition with immune engagement through T cells.
IGI, headquartered in New York, is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative biologics in oncology. The company is advancing a pipeline of novel, first-in-class Multispecifics™ aimed at addressing complex diseases and treating patients holistically. The proprietary BEAT® technology platform underpins IGI’s commitment to delivering breakthrough therapies for hematological malignancies and solid tumours.
Analysts and market observers will be closely monitoring the upcoming presentation, as the promising data from the TRIgnite-1 study could significantly influence the future landscape of multiple myeloma treatment options. The collaboration between IGI and AbbVie is expected to drive further advancements in this field, potentially leading to new therapeutic solutions for patients with limited treatment options.
