Avenue Supermarts reports 18.4% revenue growth in Q2 FY27, profits rise by 7.6%

Mumbai, October 10, 2026: Avenue Supermarts Limited, the parent company of D-Mart, has announced its financial results for the quarter and half-year ending 30th September 2026, showcasing robust growth in revenue and profits. The company reported a standalone total revenue of Rs.19,206 crore for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q2 FY27), marking an 18.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The net profit for the quarter stood at Rs.804 crore, reflecting a 7.6% growth from the previous year.

The company’s Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) for Q2 FY27 was Rs.1,403 crore, a 14.1% rise year-on-year. However, the EBITDA margin slightly decreased to 7.3% from 7.6% in Q2 FY26. The basic earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter improved to Rs.12.32, up from Rs.11.47 in the same quarter last year. During this period, Avenue Supermarts expanded its footprint by adding 15 new stores, bringing the total number of stores to 518.

For the half-year ending 30th September 2026 (H1 FY27), the company reported a total revenue of Rs.37,550 crore, a 16.8% increase from the previous year. The net profit for the half-year was Rs.1,739 crore, representing a 10.3% rise year-on-year. The EBITDA for H1 FY27 stood at Rs.2,930 crore, with a margin of 7.8%, slightly down from 7.9% in H1 FY26. The basic EPS for the half-year increased to Rs.26.67 from Rs.24.22 in H1 FY26.

Avenue Supermarts’ consolidated results also showed significant growth, with total revenue for Q2 FY27 at Rs.19,644 crore, up from Rs.16,676 crore in the previous year. The consolidated net profit for the quarter was Rs.743 crore, a 8.5% increase year-on-year. The company continues to follow its ‘Everyday Low Cost – Everyday Low Price’ strategy, focusing on operational efficiency to offer competitive prices to customers.

Analysts view Avenue Supermarts’ performance as a testament to its effective business model and strategic expansion. Despite the slight dip in margins, the company’s commitment to value pricing and store expansion is expected to sustain its growth trajectory in the competitive retail market.
