Public Notice No. 93(RE-2008)/2004-2009: Amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I

Introduction: The Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Directorate General of Foreign Trade has issued Public Notice No. 93(RE-2008)/2004-2009. This notice introduces amendments in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I RE2008. It empowers the Director General of Foreign Trade to make these changes under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The amendments include the addition of Table 14 for new VKGUY products, which are eligible for duty credit scrip on exports made from April 1, 2008.

Amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I: Table 14 is added after Table 13 of Appendix 37A of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I RE2008. It lists the new VKGUY products along with their respective product codes and ITC HS codes. These products will be entitled to duty credit scrip benefits on exports made from April 1, 2008. The first product listed in Table 14 is barley, assigned with VKGUY Product Code 14.1 and ITC HS Code 1003.
