Public Notice No. 63 (RE-00)/1997-2002, dated March 15, 2001, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, announces amendments to the Handbook (Vol 1) under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002. These changes include updates to DEPB (Duty Entitlement Pass Book) rates and value caps for various export products across different categories. Specific amendments include adjustments to marine cables, steel wire ropes, and submersible pumps under the Engineering product group. For Chemicals, new entries like printing inks and updated value caps for products such as paracetamol, sodium silicate, and enalapril maleate are added. Plastic products like vacuum flasks and safety helmets, along with electronics such as televisions and radios, also saw changes in their DEPB rates and value caps. These modifications impact various industries, including chemicals, electronics, and engineering, aligning with trade and export requirements.

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II Section 3, Sub section (ii) vide S.O.
