 NOTIFICATION No. 72 (RE-2007)/2004-2009

DATED:- January 22, 2008

S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2004-2009, as amended, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in FTP, 2004-2009 (Updated as on 19.4.2007):

1. Paragraph 6.18 (d) is amended to read as under:

“An EOU/EHTP/STP/BTP unit may also be permitted by Development Commissioner, to exit from the scheme at any time on payment of duty on capital goods under the prevailing EPCG Scheme for DTA Units. This will be subject to fulfillment of positive NFE criteria under EOU scheme, eligibility criteria under EPCG Scheme and standard conditions indicated in HBP V.1.”

This issues in Public interest.
