NOTIFICATION NO. 36 (RE-2003)/2002-2007

NEW DELHI, the 19th March, 2004

S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with 1.1 , 2.1 and 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007 as amended from time to time , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 2002-2007 and as amended from time to time:-

Against Code No. 2505 i.e. “Sand and Soil” the details of export to Maldives of Stone Aggregates and River Sand ( in Col. 4 i.e. nature of restriction ) will be amended to read as follows:-
Code Item description Policy Nature of restriction
2505 Sand and Soil Restricted Export to Maldives permitted as per ceiling mentioned below subject to issue

of No Objection Certificate within the

annual ceiling by the Chemical and Allied

Product Export Promotion Council ( CAPEXIL)

who shall monitor the ceiling and send a quarterly

report to Policy Cell-III in DGFT.

(a) For the financial year 2004-2005

( On annual basis )

Stone Aggregate : 1,90,000MTs

River Sand : 2,10,000 MTs
