Notification No. 25 (RE-2001)/1997-2002, dated 24th August 2001, introduces an amendment to Notification No. 44(RE-2000)/1997-2002 regarding the import of valves and valve fittings for CNG kits used in automobiles. The amendment exempts such valves from the requirement of being registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as specified in paragraph 6 of the original notification. However, this exemption is only applicable to valves approved by the Chief Controller of Explosives in Nagpur. The change facilitates the import of these specific components while ensuring safety standards related to CNG usage in automobiles.
