Notification No. 26/2015-2020-DGFT

Subject: Amendment in import policy condition No.2 of Chapter 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule — I (Import Policy).

S.O. 3841(E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends Policy Condition No.2 of Chapter 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule — I (Import Policy) as under:

Existing Policy Condition No. 2 Revised Policy Condition No. 2
The import PET bottle waste/scrap is “Prohibited” as per OM No. 23-4/2009-HSMD dated 30-08-2016. The import of PET bottle waste/scrap/ PET flakes made from used PET bottles etc is “Prohibited” as per OM No. 23-4/2009-HSMD dated 30-08-2016 and O.M. No.23/66/2019-HSM dated 03/10/2019 of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Effect of the Notification: Import of PET flakes made from used PET bottles etc is “Prohibited”.
