Seeks to amend Notification No. 08/2020-Customs, dated 02.02.2020 to continue health cess exemption on specified parts of x-ray machines as per PMP of x-ray machines

G.S.R. 237(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) read with section 141 of the Finance Act, 2020 (12 of 2020), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 08/2020-Customs, dated the 2nd February, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 68 (E), dated the 2nd February, 2020, namely:-

In the said notification, in the TABLE, against Sl.No.3, in column (2), after the figures “564”, the figures and letters “, 564A, 564B, 564C,”, shall be inserted.

2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2021.

Note : The principal notification No. 08/2020-Customs, dated the 2nd February, 2020 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 68 (E), dated the 2nd February, 2020 and last amended vide notification No. 06/2021 -Customs, dated the 1st day of February, 2021, vide number G.S.R. 64(E), dated the 1st day of February, 2021.
