THE TAXATION LAWS (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2017

further to amend the Customs Act, 1962, the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, the Central Excise Act, 1944, the Finance Act, 2001 and the Finance Act, 2005 and to repeal certain enactments.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Short title and commence­ment.

1. (1) This Act may be called the Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2017.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint:

5 Provided that different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the commencement of that provision.
