CBIC Adds Navi Mumbai customs airports as international courier terminals

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), through Notification No. 57/2026-Customs (N.T.) dated June 18, 2026, has amended Notification No. 27/2018-Customs (N.T.) issued under clause (f) of sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment inserts a new entry at Serial No. 15 in the table of the principal notification, adding “Navi Mumbai”. The notification has been issued in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 7(1)(f) of the Customs Act, 1962. It further records that the principal notification was originally published on March 28, 2018, and was last amended through Notification No. 82/2020-Customs (N.T.) dated August 21, 2020. The amendment is issued under File No. 451/11/2026-Cus.V and is signed by the Under Secretary to the Government of India.

(E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (f) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 27/2018-Customs (N.T.), dated, the 28th March, 2018, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i), vide number G.S.R. 295(E), dated, the 28^th March, 2018, namely:-

In the said notification, in the table, after Sl. No. 14 and the entries relating thereto, the following Sl. No. and entry shall be added, namely:-

“15. Navi Mumbai”.
