Notification No. 134/2003-Customs

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.55/2003-Customs, dated the 1st April, 2003, namely :-

In the said notification, in the Explanation, in clause (4), in the proviso to sub-clause (i), –

(i)  in item (d), for the words” Import Policy”, the words “Import Policy; or ” shall be substituted;

(ii) after item (d), the following shall be substituted namely; –

“(e) export of other goods manufactured by the importer;”

Note :  The principal notification No.55/2003-Customs dated the 1st April, 2003 was published in the Gazette of India, (Extraordinary) vide GSR No.279 (E), dated    the  1st April, 2003 and last amended by Notification No.97/2003-Customs dated, the 25th June, 2003 vide GSR No. 515(E), dated the 25th June, 2003.

Corrigendum

In the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.134/2003-Customs dated the 27th August, 2003, published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), vide GSR 693(E), in clause (ii), the word “substituted” shall be corrected to read as “inserted”.
