Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through Order File No.A-22012/6/2021-Ad.IV-MCA dated February 28, 2025, has assigned Judicial and Technical Members to various National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) benches across India. This decision, taken in consultation with the NCLT President and under Rule 15A of the NCLT (Salary, Allowances, and Other Terms and Conditions of Service of Members) Rules, 2015, specifies the allocation of members to benches in cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, and others. Notably, Mumbai and Kolkata have new courts designated under this arrangement. Judicial Members like Justice Jyotsna Sharma and Technical Members such as Ms. Reena Sinha Puri are among those assigned to key locations. Members are instructed to join their respective benches promptly, and their service terms will align with the applicable NCLT rules, as amended. The order is approved by the Hon’ble Corporate Affairs Minister and communicated to all relevant parties, including the Registrar, NCLT, and NCLAT. This update ensures the operational efficiency of NCLT benches across the country.
