Karnataka High Court held that accused convicted for the offence punishable under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act to grant final opportunity to cross-examine complainant on deposit of 50% of the fine amount before trial court.

Facts- Complainant advanced loan amount of Rs. 6,25,000/- upon accused. In-turn, accused gave post-dated cheques. However, the cheques were dishonoured with an endorsement as ‘funds insufficient’. The complainant got issued legal notice to the accused through RPAD
