Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the deadline for UAN activation and seeding of Aadhaar with bank accounts under the Employees’ Linked Insurance (ELI) Scheme. Initially set for November 30, 2024, the revised timeline now allows compliance until December 15, 2024. This extension aims to facilitate wider participation and ensure all employees can avail the scheme’s benefits. Employers of EPFO-covered establishments are urged to expedite compliance by leveraging special drives and cluster-level camps in areas with high pendency. Zonal and regional heads have been directed to focus on achieving 100% UAN activation and Aadhaar seeding, with a request for extensive publicity efforts to raise awareness. The circular has been published on the EPFO website for employers and employees.

In partial modification of the circular dated 22.11.2024 under reference, the competent authority has granted an extension of timeline from 30th Nov, 2024 to 15th Dec, 2024 for UAN Activation and AADHAAR seeding in Bank Account of all the employees.
